Fire-Born Teapot
Not shaped by glaze — but by fire, wood, and time.
This teapot is a rare expression of Dongdong’s wood-fired ceramic practice, where nothing is fully controlled, and everything is earned through patience.
Formed from iron-rich clay and fired with cypress wood, its surface is finished not by applied glaze, but by what the kiln itself gives. As the fire moves, oils released from the burning cypress interact with the clay body, slowly creating natural glaze crystals across the surface. No two firings are ever the same — and neither is this teapot.
With its compact 80ml capacity, it is designed for quiet, focused tea sessions. Ideal for rock tea and Gongfu brewing, it invites a slower rhythm — one pot, one tea, one or two people.
This is not a decorative object.
It is a vessel shaped by fire, meant to be used.
How It Feels
Warm. Grounded. Alive.
The surface carries soft variations — traces of flame, ash, and natural crystallization that respond subtly to light and touch. When held, it feels dense and calm, like an object that has already lived a long life before reaching your hands.
Every pour becomes part of that continuing story.
