He meticulously cleans the kiln with a vacuum cleaner again and again before placing his pieces inside. Unlike many ceramic artists’ studios, Dong Dong declines visiting guests and rarely (if ever) hosts visitors in his studio. He devotes all his energy to the study and creation of teaware, techniques, and porcelain clay.
