The red and black lacquer are its original hues, naturally aged with time, creating subtle cracks on the surface that have been carefully restored. However, the natural imperfections of the wood were intentionally preserved, forming a striking wabi-sabi contrast with the lacquer’s original cracking. Kevin has enhanced this unique piece by adding a “Double Happiness” motif and the phrase “double happiness” as part of the decoration, injecting a playful and modern touch into its timeless charm.
